The rooms facing the North-East offer a view of Chomolungma (8850m) (Everest) and Ama Dablam (6814m) (Mother of Gods).

On the second floor there is a restaurant. Here you may order both the local, Nepali and Sherpa, food, and the dishes of the European cuisine. Ang Jangmu is the owner of the lodge and the spouse of Tenzing, Secretary of the Ringpoche Tengboche Monastery. The past four years she worked as a cook in Austria, where she learnt the European standards of cooking food. Therefore, all food at Rivendell Lodge is tasty and safe.

Sitting at a table in the restaurant, you may relish the most beautiful sights of Chomolungma and Ama Dablam. You may also have your food outdoors: from here opens a striking view of Khumbi Yul Lha – a sacred peak, any kind of mountaineering on which is prohibited.

Rivendell Lodge itself is situated in a very quiet and cosy place, where nobody prevents you from having a good rest and commune with the Goodness of Himalayas.
